Symptom
- User performed the DRTM Master Data Purge and purged the user from the system
- Hard purge of user was successful as well.
- When reactivating the hard purged user again with the same User ID, it gets failed.

Reproducing the Issue
- Perform a DRTM Master Data Purge through Data Retention Management (2615360 - DRTM Master Data Purge for Inactive Users - SAP for Me)
- Perform a Hard Purge of the user from the system through System Identifier Purge (2392076 - User Permanent or Hard Purge feature - SAP for Me)
- When reactivating the user with the same user ID through Basic Import (2694102 - How to do Basic User Import Including &&NO_OVERWRITE&& Condition - SAP for Me), the basic import fails, and the user is not created.
Resolution
- If the user is hard purged from the instance the user will not reflect in Data Inspector Tool when searched. To do this, you can refer the KBA: 3375924 - How To check User Status Via Data inspector - SAP for Me
- Post that, you need to perform the check in Check Tool. To enable the Check tool, you need to have the below mentioned permissions as mentioned on the KBA: 2472648 - Using the Check Tool to check SuccessFactors configuration - SAP for Me
- Role-Based Permission Prerequisites:
- You have the following Administrator Check Tool permissions:
- Access Check Tool
- Allow Configuration Export
- Allow Check Tool Quick Fix
- You have the following Administrator Check Tool permissions:

- Perform the Check in the Check Tool: Check Tool -> User Management -> Each employee’s person data is correctly associated with corresponding employment data. (OrphanPersonGOs) -> Run 1 Check & Quick Fix (3373254 - New check tool for Orphan Users and Orphan PersonGOs in b2311 - SAP for Me)
- The check will delete all the Orphan Data present on the instance.
5. The above image is from demo instance where there are no issues. If any issues exist, then perform a Quick Fix and the issues will get resolved.
6. Post running the Quick Fix, perform the Basic Import again with the same user ID and same user data and the user will get created on the instance.
