3592785 - Posting Date not Updated as Bank Statement Date in Imported Bank Statements in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Changes made to the bank statement date doesn't reflect to the field 'Posting Date' in the Bank Statement item when importing the template. The Posting Date in the Bank Statement Item is defaulted to the previous day's date.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Bank Statement manually using Create Next option in Manage Bank Statements app.
  2. Change the Bank Statement Date.
  3. Import the template for uploading the bank statement items.
  4. Observe the value updated in the field Posting Date.

Cause

When the bank statement date is adjusted to an earlier one, pressing "Enter" is crucial to set the chosen bank statement date as the posting date. If values are altered randomly on the UI, they aren't always added to the draft, which is why they appear as default.

Resolution

  1. When adjusting the bank statement date to an earlier one, press "Enter". This action will set the chosen bank statement date as the posting date.
  2. Be aware that when values are altered randomly on the UI, they aren't always added to the draft, which is why they appear as default.
  3. By pressing "Enter", ensure the modified value is added to the draft and saved as changed, not as default.
