3593121 - New Learning Experience - Manager is Not able to Search any Users as an Alternate Manager

• In New Learning Experience, manager is able to see 'Assign Alternate Manager' button in 'Team View', but is not able to search any user to delegate.
• The search for Alternate Managers only returns users from the same organization the manager is part of.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Managers log in to SAP SuccessFactors Learning and access 'Team View' >
2. Click the three dots on the right-top corner and click 'Assign Alternate Managers' >
3. Attempt to search for any users and notice that it is not possible to search/see any users.

OR

1. Managers log in to SAP SuccessFactors Learning and access 'Team View'
2. Click the three dots on the right-top corner and click 'Assign Alternate Managers'
3. Attempt to search for any users and notice that only users from the same organization as the manager return on the search.

• User is missing the 'Assign Alternate Managers' permission.
• The 'restrictUserPeerSearchByOrg' setting is enabled.

• This is the current product design and there is a permission 'Assign Alternate Managers' to control this function.

1. 1. Navigate to Learning administration > Security > Role Management.
   2. Search for the target manager's role > add the 'Assign Alternate Managers' permission.

Note: The 'Assign Alternate Managers' button is visible and accessible to all managers, regardless of whether they have the permission to search for users or not. The permission determines whether the manager can search for users or not. 

• The 'restrictUserPeerSearchByOrg' setting should be disabled under Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > SEARCH.
