3593277 - How to Configure Standard Element Company field ?

After 1H,2025 Release, New standard element company field has been introduced, representing the legal entity associated with a user. This document explain how you can configure the company field for Legacy profile and Latest  people profile for Employee central enabled instance.

1. Field Enablement 
   • To make the element configurable in the Business Configuration UI, you've run the Synchronize Business Configuration job in Scheduled Job Manager ( KBA 2231503 - Synchronize Business Configuration Job Configuration via Scheduled Job Manager)
   • Enable company field in Manage Business Configuration > Employee Profile > Standard Element. 
   • Add company field in "sysVisibleUserDirectorySetting " . Once added field will be available for import employee data and for UI configuration on configure people profile or configure latest people profile.
   • Grant permission for company field as per your company requirement in Manage permission role
2. Configure UI:
   • Configure Latest People profile: At this moment, Company field will be not visible under Personal Information Category > Employee Information standard Card. This is Expected behavior. You can use workaround as mentioned in PPX guide
   • Configure People profile (Legacy People Profile)  : Please use guide to configure company field in Legacy people profile.
3. Update Value for Company Field:
   • Employee Central Enabled Instance:
     1. Go to Company system and logo Settings
     2. Click on “Refresh Legal Entity” button. This will trigger Full hris sync only for company field to get updated. You can monitor job in "Schedule Job Manager" ( Note: Refresh Legal Entity button will be available after 22nd April 2025 in preview instance. If you do not want to wait you can use import to update Company value or reach out to support by raising case under component(LOD-SF-EC-HRS)  to execute Full hris sync)
