3593310 - Talent Search: Selecting the checkbox 'employee' does not select all employees from the search results.

Symptom

In Talent Search results page, selecting the checkbox “employee”(Select all employees) , does not actually select all employees from the search results.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Succession Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Succession >> Talent Search page.
  2. Set any search criteria and click Search.
  3. Click on the checkbox “employee”(Select All Employees),the number of selected employees does not match the total number of employees found in the search results.

Cause

This is because the selected employee number only can reflect the number of employees shown on the page after lazy loading. Talent Search v2 implements lazy loading to prevent performance issues while loading the results.

Resolution

  • If user wants to export all search results, user can click on 'export all' function to have all the search results without scrolling down.

  • If you want to select the employees shown on the current page, you can click the employee checkbox. When you  scroll down, more number of employees can be shown after lazy loading. Lazy loading is designed to avoid potential performance issue.
