Symptom

The aim of this Knowledge Base Article is to help SAP Basis Administrator/ System Admin to check the current CPU usage of the Java process  

  1. Seemingly high CPU: on Unix system the calculation of CPU per percentage is done in relation with processor cores, hence it can happen that percentage is way above 100%, still there is no real issue. 
  2. High CPU and performance problem experienced on the server, together: slowness or hanging of certain pages, apps, or generally the whole server.
