Symptom

  • During the conversion of an ERP system to SAP S/4HANA using SUM, an error occurs with the System Update Manager (SUM).
  • The error message states: "DB export issue: '
    • The issue arises when using the Database Migration Option (DMO) on the source.
    • The expected size of the object does not match the actual size.
  • The error message is similar to following:
    A1EEGEN 000 (DFH) File '.../SUM/abap/load/migrate_sot/MIGRATE_SOT_00xxx_<TABLE>_IMP.00x' has wrong length xxxxxxx (expected xxxxxxx)
