3593688 - Error "Function SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_STATUS is not supported for flexible workflows" (SWF_RUN693)

Symptom

  • Instead of approval/rejection individually from Fiori Inbox, Mass Approval or Rejection using an ABAP program is needed.
  • The customer program calls FM SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_STATUS to mass updating work item status.
  • Error  "Function SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_STATUS  is not supported for flexible workflows" (SWF_RUN693) raised during execution.
