3594581 - Edit/View button is missing from Calibration Talent Card Background section

Symptom

For new people profile blocks added in the Latest People profile, Edit/View button is missing from Calibration Talent Card Background section, despite all permissions granted.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Add a new background block in the Latest People profile.
  2. Grant Edit and View permissions in RBP.
  3. Add this background block into Calibration Talent Card following the guide Configuring the Talent Card Background Sections | SAP Help Portal.
  4. Check that the block is editable in the Latest People profile.
  5. Go to a Calibration session and open the Talent Card.
  6. The same block is read only, the Edit/View button is missing.

Cause

The new People profile block is hidden in the Legacy People profile.

Resolution

This is the current system design, but there is an enhancement planned to improve this behaviour in 2H 2025 release.

Workaround:

  1. Disable the Latest People profile via Company System and Logo Settings -> Enable Full Profile for the Latest People Profile.
  2. Go to Configure People profile and make the new block visible following the guide Showing or Hiding a Section or Subsection on the People Profile | SAP Help Portal, save the settings.
  3. Enable the Latest People profile via Company System and Logo Settings -> Enable Full Profile for the Latest People Profile.
  4. Go to a Calibration session and open the Talent Card, the Edit/View button now is visible.
