3594897 - Error message "No item category exists (Table T184L &1 &2 )" during Customer Returns and Warehouse Management Integration- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

The integration between customer returns and warehouse management will be available since CE2508, S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. 

Posting Change deliveries cannot be created after material inspection for customer returns related sales kits processes which integrate with Warehouse Management. Refer to KBA 3608795 for more detail with integration.

Below error message occurs during delivery creation:

Error Message "No item category exists (Table T184L &1 &2)"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition CE2508

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Created Return Order with APP Manage Customer Returns - Version 2 (APP ID F4832), order type CBAR and Follow-Up Act is Receive into Plant.
  2. Find the return delivery under Process Flow tab.
  3. Complete the inbound delivery with APP Chang Inbound Deliveries - Deliveries.
  4. Go to APP Enter Inspection Results - From Warehouse (MSR_INSPWH) and perform material inspection. Follow-Up Activity set as "Transfer to Free Available Stock" or "Transfer to Specified Stock", save and confirm.
  5. Go to Return Overview page, the posting change document is not created. The log shows error message "No item category exists (Table T184L HTP ERLA)" or "No item category exists (Table T184L HTP DISH)".

Resolution

Item category groups DISH and ERLA are required to be maintained at customizing SSCUI 105417 "Define Item Category Determination in Deliveries" at CE2508 to generate deliveries.

Development team has plan to deliver the content then the maintained item category groups will be overwritten at CE2602. This is current state of planning and may be changed by SAP at any time without notice.
