Symptom

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

You see there are configuration/UI changes of an UI view in UI designer and would like to know when and which user made those changes.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud Application Studio
  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to UI Designer
  2. Navigate to the UI screen (For example an OWL Screen)
  3. You notice there are some changes in the UI View. (For example: New/Edit button on the Toolbar is deleted)

Cause

The New/Edit button was deleted in one of the version manually by a user.

Resolution

To check who made this changes, follow the below steps:

  1. On the UI Designer click on Version History button as below
  2. A new Version History pane opens
  3. Here you can see different versions with last changed on and changed by column
  4. To further check in which version the changes (In our example the button was deleted) select each version and click on "Open Selected Version" to compare the current screen with this version and see if there are any differences
