3594952 - Extraction in Process Intelligence fails with the error 'SAP only allows 512 bytes to be returned'

Data extraction in Process Intelligence fails with the following error:

Exception caught, caused by: Preview request failed with (You have selected to return 757 bytes worth of data per row. However, SAP only allows 512 bytes to be returned. Select fewer columns to avoid this error. If you need to select more than 512 bytes of data, you can install the Z_CUSTOM_READ_TABLE function to SAP and update the connection to refer to it.) 

This error usually occurs when the required SAP NOTE 2246160 is not installed on the source SAP system.

To avoid this, and other extraction errors, please ensure that the following required SAP NOTES are installed on your source SAP system:
