• Any licensing requirement for using Generative AI images? 
  • The AI Image generation would require an active purchase of AI Units. Please work with your account management team, sales rep or SAP account contact for more information. Our Support team cannot advise you on costs or any license related queries.
• For the image generation, does it require purchasing AI credits? 
  • Yes, this is a generative AI feature which requires AI units/credits.
• How many AI units for an image?
  • 25 image generations = 1 AI unit.
• Do AI capabilities stop working if AI units are maxed out?
  • Yes, premium features won’t work without available AI units. 
• Can AI-generated images be used without copyright issues?
  • They are premium features requiring AI units (no explicit copyright restrictions mentioned). 
• How are AI SKU units consumed across features? 
  • Each feature (e.g., images, skills inference) consumes units differently. Refer to documentation.
• Can corporate branding (e.g., colors) be added to AI-generated images?
  •  Not in the initial release, but under consideration.
• Can AI-assisted skills inference update competencies automatically?
  • Yes, if configured in the item settings.
• Is Joule part of the AI SKU?
  • No, Joule requires a separate license. 
• Are demo systems fully enabled for AI features?
  • Yes, but some premium features may incur costs. 
• Can AI image generation be disabled?
  • Yes, via AI Services Administration in Admin Center.

ILX

• Can legacy Learning be kept as default after 1H 2025? 
  • Yes, but users can toggle to ILX. Disabling ILX entirely is no longer possible. 
• Are custom tiles from legacy migrated to ILX?
  • No, admins must rebuild them using the new custom card framework.
• Is there a search bar in Required/Important Learning sections?
  •  Not yet, but under consideration for future releases.
• Why don’t Required Learning items show thumbnails?
  • Research showed images didn’t drive user action; removed for screen space optimization. 
• Are optional curricula items visible in ILX?
  •  Yes (in Important Learning), starting 1H 2025.
• Is the calendar feature returning in ILX?
  •  Not on the roadmap—suggest voting on Influence.
• Can surveys be customized with direct links?
  •  Possible, but not covered in this session (file a ticket for specifics).
• How are ILX custom pages made visible to users?
  •  Based on OrgID/UserGroup qualifications (must qualify for at least one card/banner).
• Is Featured Learning available in ILX?
  •  No, but users can filter by “Featured” in search.
• Will proxy mode default to ILX instead of Legacy?
  • Yes, if the user is on ILX, proxy will show ILX. 

Manager Feature

• Can managers remove admin-assigned learning? 
  • Yes, if enabled in configuration (optional). Assignment Profile items cannot be removed.
• Are manager reminders configurable (e.g., email “From” address)? 
  • Yes, for bulk and individual reminders.
• Can managers remove mandatory curricula? 
  • Only if enabled in settings (optional). 
• Is there an audit trail for removed assignments? 
  • Yes, via the User Learning Plan Data Audit CSV report.
• Do manager reminders appear on the SF homepage? 
  • No—only in ILX (no separate config for legacy homepage). 
• Can managers send reminders to entire hierarchies? 
  • Yes, for all levels (configurable via LMS_ADMIN settings).
• Is there a job aid for managers? 
  • No, but help guides can be used to create one. 
• Will manager dashboard return in ILX? 
  • Not yet—planned for future releases.
• Can overdue reminder templates include headers/footers? 
  • No, please open an Influence request for this. 
• Does removing admin assignments break Assignment Profiles? 
  • No, assignments can be reassigned later. 
• Is the setting 'Use Application Notification User Email for manager email notifications' related to all and any notification triggered by managers? Or only when triggered through ILX > Send Reminder?
  • This configuration is for only the new manager reminder for overdue assignments.

Joule

• Is Joule free?
  • No, it’s a premium feature requiring a separate SKU.
• Can Joule approve learning requests?
  • Yes (e.g., IAS-LMS integration approvals). 
• Does Joule require Business AI licenses? 
  • Yes—discuss SKUs with your account manager. 
• Can Joule recommend learning content?
  • Not yet, but planned for future releases. 
• Is Joule GDPR compliant?
  • Yes, it adheres to AI ethics and GDPR. 
• Can managers ask Joule about team overdue items?
  • Planned for future releases (no confirmed timeline). 
• Are Joule approvals reflected immediately in Learning?
  • Yes. 
• Does Joule work only in Learning?
  • No—it supports cross-module use cases. 
• Can Joule fetch quiz answers?
  • No—only supports assignments/approvals. 
• How to enable Joule?

Search

• Can search filters be hidden/configured?
  • Not yet—planned for future releases.

• Is search near real-time for all environments?

  • Yes—Updates reflect in ≤30 mins across all instances not just production. More information can be found here.

• Does browse all return all items? 
  
  • No— Only the first 30,000 results come back with results in the users locale from the first 30,000 at the top of the page. If a filter is applied or a keyword is entered, it will be across all possible results and not just the first 30,000. More information can be found here.  
• Are child category items included in parent searches?
  • No—planned for future enhancements.
• Is weighting still supported in library search?
  • No—deprecated in favor of relevance-based results.
• Can duration filters apply to classes (not items)?
  • No—only item duration is considered.
• Are category banners returning in ILX?
  • No—not planned.
• Can users search by sub-categories (L2/L3)?
  • Yes, but hierarchy isn’t considered (future enhancement).
• Is “Browse All” available on mobile?
  • Not yet—planned for future releases.
• Why is library sorted by ID?
  • Default behavior—configurability may be added later.
• Is there a way to hide the "Browse All" search dropdown?
  • Yes—configure to show only the "Browse All" button (no categories).

Skills

• Do skills inferences require AI credits?
  • Yes—a premium AI feature.
• Can competencies auto-update after course completion?
  • Yes, if the item’s auto-competency switch is ON.
• Are curricula included in Growth Portfolio suggestions?
  • No—only items/programs.
• Can competencies be mass-linked to learning items?
  • Only manually or via AI-assisted skills inference.
• Is manager approval needed for proficiency updates?
  • No—but Growth Portfolio may trigger approvals.
• Are OCN items’ auto-competency settings editable?
  • Yes, configurable in OCN settings.
• Will competencies expire if curricula are overdue?
  • No—suggest an Influence request for this.
• Does JPB setup affect learning suggestions?
  • No—recommendations are based on user proficiency.
• Are non-GP users given learning recommendations?
  • Yes, based on interests/history/peer activity.
• Which attributes drive proficiency suggestions?
  • Any attribute updated in Growth Portfolio.

Proxy

• Does proxy mode allow troubleshooting content launch issues?
  • No—launching content in proxy breaks LMS integrity (use test users/screen sharing instead).
• Why does proxy still show Legacy Learning if ILX is set to "Hidden"?
  • If the user is on ILX, proxy will show ILX starting this release.
• Can admins proxy via Employee ID (not name)?
  • Not yet—suggest an Influence request for this enhancement.
• Is the "Act As" feature different from LMS admin proxy?
  • No—it’s the same delegate feature (based on delegate permissions).
• Can admins download a user’s Learning History PDF in proxy?
  • Yes—this is not blocked.

Other

• When will the 1H 2025 release hit validated environments?
  • 2026 (see VSAAS schedule).
• Is the "Switch Employment" button in ILX related to the new Person Model?
  • No—it’s for legacy employment-based assignments. Person Model won’t need it.
• Can the "Welcome to New Learning" message be edited?
  • Yes—use KBA 2913764 to modify labels.
• Can concurrent employment data be shown in ILX?
  • Yes—via the "Switch Employment" button (not new to this release).
• Can admins customize the Activities menu in ILX?
  • No—submit an Influence request for this.
• How the Browse Library will display all of the library contents? Ordering/sorting logic compared to the legacy "browse all" function? In Legacy it was for example alphabetical relevance etc.
  • In the related section of the Browse Library feature we can find this help file. The following information is important to consider for the Browse Library feature:
    
    • The sort order of library results is not configurable. By default, items are sorted by entity ID, with those in the user's locale appearing at the top of the list.
      When browsing the library, a maximum of 30,000 results are displayed, even if more items are available.
    • However, when a filter is applied or a keyword is entered, the system will search across all available items, not just within the first 30,000 results.
