3595168 - How to enable AI features in SuccessFactors

Symptom

  • The "Manage AI Capabilities" is not available in the instance permission group.
  • A request for assistance to enable AI units in the Provisioning.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to the SAP SuccessFactors Platform.
  2. Navigate to the instance permission group.
  3. Attempt to locate and enable the "Manage AI Capabilities".

Cause

Prerequisites are missing for AI units to be properly set up.

Resolution

The AI features require SAP AI Unit SKU license. For more information on how to purchase the license, contact your Account Executive. Once the SAP AI Units are processed, the options below will be automatically enabled in Provisioning:

  • Enable AI-Assisted SAP SuccessFactors HCM Content Generator (You must purchase the SAP Al Units license in order to use this feature. Please contact your Account Executive to know more about the purchasing process.)
  • Enable AI-Assisted SAP SuccessFactors HCM Skills (You must purchase the SAP Al Units license in order to use this feature. Please contact your Account Executive to know more about the purchasing process.)

If the options above are not automatically enabled: contact your implementation Partner with Provisioning access, or reach out to SAP Support under component LOD-SF-PLT-GAI to request activation. 

If the options appear greyed out in Provisioning: it indicates that the purchase of SAP AI Units has not been successfully completed. In this case, follow up with your Account Executive for assistance.
