3595307 - Business Rule is not triggering in Global Assignment Details portlet - Employee Central

Symptom

Business Rule assigned to globalAssignmentInfo HRIS Element in Manage Business Configuration it not triggering in Employee Profile.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Manage Business Configuration > globalAssignmentInfo;
  2. Assign a Business Rule to the HRIS Element or any field > Save;
  3. Navigate to a Global Assignment employment;
  4. Perform the transaction that is supposed to trigger the Business Rule;
  5. Business Rule is not triggered. Besides, Rule Trace is empty.

Resolution

is only supported to trigger Business Rules for Global Assignment via Take Action > Manage Global Assignment. Therefore, it is not supported to trigger Business Rules directly in Global Assignment Details portlet.
