Symptom

During eDocument processing or configuration of Web Services, the system raises one of the following network-related errors:

  • NIECONN_REFUSED  
  • NIEHOST_UNKNOWN

These errors typically occur when attempting to connect to external services such as SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), Neo, or BTP (CF) endpoints under the domain *.hana.ondemand.com.
