Application Error On Clicking History or Edit button of Job Information portlet.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Job Information

1. Navigate to employee's Job Information portlet.
2. Click on History/ edit of the portlet
3. Application error occurs

This is a Known Issue.

• The fix for this issue will be deployed with the patch b2505p1 which is scheduled for 22nd April 2025 in Preview environments.

Workaround

The issue is caused due to data inconsistency where certain Event Reason(s) do not have 'Event' field maintained. Therefore, please follow the below steps to identify the incorrect data and correct the same.

1. Navigate to Reporting -> Create New 'Table' report
2. Choose Foundation Object
3. Click on Columns -> Select Columns ->  Choose 'Event Reason' -> Select columns 'Name' & 'Event'
4. Preview the report OR Save->Export the report.
5. In the 'Event' column, check if there are any value which show a number or is shown as empty. 
6. Once identified, open those event reason(s) in Admin Tools -> Manage Organisation, Pay and Job Structure and correct the values in the field 'Event'.
7. Once all such event reasons are corrected, the issue should be resolved.
