3596292 - FATAL: Can't find item related to the product with ID

You have received a fatal when trying to add a product to a quote. Fatal message of: Can't find item related to the product with ID.

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

1. Create new quotation.
2. Add a product of type Simple to quote.
3. Product needs to have been synched from the backend.
4. Fill in all necessary required fields and try to add product to quote.
5. Check error.

• Limitation of CPQ software occurs when trying to add Simple, yet Multilevel products to the quote. This is a modelling limitation within CPQ.

• If you would like this feature to be part of CPQ, please raise an enhancement request on our Influence Portal.

Workaround:

• Convert the problematic products from Simple Product to Parent Child product.
