3596398 - Alpha Numeric Number Range for Central Purchase Order (Public Cloud)

Requirement for an alpha numeric number range for purchase order .

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to the App "Manage Your Solution".
2. Use the SSCUI 103412.
3. Navigate to "Interval".
4. Select "Edit".
5. Attempt to use the Number range with alpha numeric values.
6. The error message "Specify Numeric interval Limit" is displayed.

The standard system configuration only allows numeric values for the number range of purchase orders.

To make the changes in Number range navigate to App ''Manage your Solution'' use SSCUI: 103412 to create a new number range intervals according to the business case. Then use SSCUI: 102909 to assign the new number range to the customized PO document type/RFQ/Quotations.

Alphanumeric number ranges are not supported for internal number ranges in SAP. Internal number ranges can only be numeric. However, alphanumeric number ranges can be used for external number assignment.
