3597000 - General Display Name is not displayed correctly on the profile header

Symptom

  • General Display Name shows correctly for employees in People Search
  • The Name Format does not show on the profile header

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Search for an employee
  2. Navigate to Employee Profile 
  3. Notice the General Display Name not match the correct name format shown in search

Cause

  • Lack of permissions
  • User is missing the following permission > Employee data > HR information > Display name (view)

Resolution

  • User must assign the following permission  > Employee data > HR information > Display name (view)
  • The general display name will now reflect in the profile header
