3597239 - Import data for consolidation converting decimal value with scientific notation

Symptom

You have maintained decimal value in the excel file you use for consolidation import. For example, value 0.01 maintained for field MARA-BRGEW. Once the import is done and you realize that the value of 0.01 is converted to "1.000000001E-2".

Cause

Unexpected hidden formatting of the column field in the excel file.

Resolution

You can carry out the following steps to remove the hidden formatting:

  1. Open the excel file and copy the entire entry of the affected field.
  2. Paste the copied content to a normal windows notepad.
  3. Copy the content from the notepad again and paste it back to the excel file.
