Symptom

Use the account-based profitability analysis. 

a)

If using the lean process of the stock transport order instead of the classic SD sales process for 'internal' sales, it's noticed that the costs of sales are either not posted in the account-based profitability analysis or are assigned to a profitability segment that contains very few characteristic values. As a result, revenues and related costs are separate.

b)

In the case of a stock transport order, the characteristics KAUFN and KDPOS are not filled.
This means that in the account-based profitability analysis, costs and revenues for a business transaction of this kind cannot be brought together and corresponding contribution margin accounting is not possible.
