3597450 - New “Grant Access” or “Data Source Could Not Be Reached” Warnings in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for Live Data Connections Issues

Starting from QRC2 update, users of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) may encounter one of two new warning dialogs when using Live connections authenticated via SAML SSO or SAML SSO (Standard Compliant) based on the data source type.

• "Grant Access" popup (see image) requiring permission to browser storage.
• "The data source could not be reached, or your browser may be blocking third-party cookies."

These dialogs appear when the connection to the data source fails after successful authentication.

1. If the Live connection fails post-authentication in SAML SSO/Standard Compliant SAML SSO scenarios:

• Users may see the following warning dialog:
  
• Users will be prompted to allow browser storage access via a pop-up after clicking OK.

2. For SAP Cloud application Live connections :

• If the live connection fails after successful authentication, users may instead see a "Grant Access" dialog.
  
  
• This appears when browser storage access has not been granted (or has expired after 30 days). A pop-up will be triggered when the user clicks Continue.
