3597748 - Time Management Deeplink Not Working For Latest Full People Profile

• After enabling the Latest Full People Profile, deeplinks to the Time Management section do not function as expected.

• Attempting to access the Time Management section using the following URL results in a blank screen: https://hcm8preview.sapsf.com/sf/liveprofile?categoryId=timeManagement 

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central – Time Management

1. Create a deeplink to the Time Management section using the latest Full Profile Category format.

2. Embed or map this link in an external third-party application (outside of SuccessFactors).

3. When a user clicks the link (assuming they are not already logged into SF), the system fails to redirect to the Time Management section and instead displays a blank page.

• When using deeplinks outside of the SuccessFactors environment (e.g., in third-party tools or portals), the standard deeplink format:https://hcm8preview.sapsf.com/sf/liveprofile?categoryId=timeManagement, cannot automatically detect the Company ID if there is no active SuccessFactors session.
• As a result, the system fails to navigate as intended.

• Use the extended deeplink format that explicitly includes the Company ID to ensure proper redirection and login via SSO: https://hcm8preview.sapsf.com/sf/liveprofile?categoryId=timeManagement#/company={mention CompanyID}
• This format allows the system to:

• • Recognize the correct Company ID.

  • Trigger SSO login, if required.

  • Redirect the user directly to the Time Management section successfully.

Best Practices

• Always include the #/company=yourCompanyID parameter when generating deeplinks for use outside the SuccessFactors environment.

• Validate deeplinks in both internal and external use cases before deployment.
