Symptom

  • When creating a new Contact, nothing is maintained in the Marketing Permission facet
  • You want to know if it is treated as Opt-out or Opt-in when nothing is maintained in the Marketing Permission facet

Resolution

When no data is maintained in the Marketing Permission facet, it is considered the same as Opt-in. This means that even if no explicit Marketing Permissions are set, communications like emails and faxes can still be sent to the contact person.
