Symptom
- Missing address information
- Missing jurisdiction error when saving or posting a document where jurisdiction is needed (e.g. sales orders, purchase orders)
- Missing jurisdiction error on automatically posted documents (e.g. transportation documents)
- Incomplete organizational unit address information on customer facing forms (e.g. account statements)
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition
Cause
Many activation errors for incorrect or incomplete organizational unit addresses (e.g. US External Tax with call to tax partner) limited customer access in SAP Central Business Configuration.
CBC process changed so that only limited information is stored in Org tool instead of complete address information. The address information now stored in CBC:
- Org Unit ID (e.g. plant, company code, etc.)
- Country
- City
Language
Resolution
Since incomplete address information was activated, all organizational unit addresses need to be manually verified and updated to ensure information is complete.
For countries using jurisdictions, this step is critical since many business transaction rely on jurisdictions to process.
Address details are maintained in the CBC Set Up Organizational Structure activity at creation and afterwards can only be edited via the configuration activities available in S/4.
