  • SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Navigation Menu.
  2. Select Accounts View.
  3. Locate and Open the Desired Account.
  4. Navigate to the Sales Data tab.
  5. Ensure that Sales Territory is maintained.
  6. Click on Create and select the Follow-up Document (e.g. Opportunity, Sales Quote).
  7. Observe that the created Follow-up document does not contain the Account Territory information.

Cause

The automatic transfer of Account Territories to Follow-up transactional data, such as Opportunities and Quotes, needs to be explicitly activated in the Administration Settings under the Party Schemes for the respective Document.

Resolution

To ensure that the Account Territory is copied to Follow-up transactional data:

  1. Open User Menu.
  2. Select Settings and then All Settings.
  3. Search for "Party Schema" under the desired entity (e.g., Opportunity).
  4. Find the "Territory" Party Role.
  5. Click on "Show Determination Steps" under Actions.
  6. Select the option "From Account Assignment to Territory".
  7. This will ensure that the Territory information from the Account is transferred to the Follow-up document created.
