3598149 - Work Description Field Not Displaying in Timesheet View

Symptom

The "Work Description" field is not visible when recording times after maintaining the working hours in the Time Sheet view.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Home - Self-Services.
  2. Maintain the view as Worklist.
  3. Create a new entry and maintain the project.
  4. Maintain the duration for a day of the week. The Work Description field is not available.

Cause

Such scenario might occurs because the button Show Details must be selected, otherwise the Work Description will not appear.

Resolution

  1. Go to Home - Self-Services Overview.
  2. Maintain the view as Worklist.
  3. Beside Worklist, select the "Show Details" button.
  4. Maintain any project/task.
  5. Maintain the duration for a day of the week.
  6. The Work Description field will now appear.
