3598176 - Incorrect Territory Account Alignment Based on Identical Geography Names in SAP SuccessFactors Territory and Quota

Symptom

  • In the SAP SuccessFactors Territory and Quota application, when a territory program is created with a rule based on geography, unexpected results occur during the execution of the territory account alignment rules.
  • The issue arises when two counties with the same name fall under different countries. Despite the unique country filter applied to each county, the filtering value for both counties is identical.
  • When the territory account rule is executed, one or more accounts from both countries, sharing the same county name, get aligned to the territory.
