Symptom

  • FM is up and running, but checking the status, it shows:

VIPA status: ERROR.
failover prerequisites fulfilled: NO. 

  • Can see below error in FM logs:

Connection failed using DRIVER={Adaptive Server Enterprise};server=xxx;port=xxx;uid=xxx;pwd=xxxxxxxxxxxxx;EncryptPassword=1;logintimeout=3;CommandTimeOut=3;;EnableRedirection=0;.

... (xxx) connect via odbc to ASE database server failed.
