3598343 - Error: Multi comm. arrangements for appl. obj. 00000XXXXX, outp. type Delivery_Note, BuPa 000X1X1X1X for Establishing Connection between S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP CPI for Outbound Communication

Warnings are generated in send output phase for EDI communication when an attempt to establish a connection between S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP CPI for outbound communication and the process is not functioning correctly and no data is sent from S/4HANA Public Cloud to SAP CPI and errors are visible in the S/4HANA monitoring app as well.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Establish a connection between S4HANA Public Cloud and SAP CPI for outbound communication.
2. Create the necessary communication system and arrangement.
3. Use the CPI path in the arrangement.
4. Attempt to send data from S4HANA to CPI.
5. Use send medium as EDI in send output phase for the configured Role, Business Partner and Channel.
6. Click on send output , warnings are generated and no output is sent.

• The issue occurred because of missing configuration in the communication arrangement for the assigned Business partner. In the Communication Arrangement app for the Communication Scenario , the Communication System was not assigned with the right business partner as a result of which warnings are occurring and communication between S4 and CPI is failing.
• This can also occur if more than one Communication Scenario , the Communication System has the same business partner assigned.
• If the appropriate OPD configuration for the output type , role , recipient(Business Partner) , Channel is not maintained.

1. Ensure that for each communication arrangement, the correct Business Partner (BP) is configured for the output being generated. Map the correct BP to the correct communication arrangement for processing of the output when setting up the channel for connection between S4 and CPI.
2. Make sure each BP is assigned to a unique Communication Scenario - Communication System.
3. ⁠Make sure OPD is configured correctly as well for the Business Partner (BP) with the correct role and correct output type.
