3598377 - Error on Job Information Import due to Multiple Scenarios defined in the Business Rule

When performing job information import in import employee data, error message occurs "The system has encountered an unknown error on import. Please contact the System Administrator"

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Import Employee Data

1. Go to Admin Center > Navigate to Import Employee Data > Select Import Data.
2. Select Entity: Job History and type of import as incremental.
3. Upload the job history import file and perform import and observe that the “Unknown error on import” message. 

• In the configured business rule for Job Information, multiple scenarios were defined across different effective‑dated records within the same rule.
• By design, only one scenario per business rule (across all its effective‑dated records) is supported; defining more than one scenario in any record leads to ambiguity during import and causes the error.

1. In Admin Center> Navigate to Configure Business Rules > Job Information Rules. 
2. Identify the Job Information business rules, locate and open the rule that currently has multiple scenario definitions across its effective‑dated records. 
3. Open the rule and review its effective-dated versions. 
4. In the example below: - 
   • The latest effective-dated record (dated 01/04/1900) has the scenario "Synchronize Position Changes to Incumbents" (as shown in the first image). 
   • An earlier effective-dated record (dated 01/01/1900) has the scenario "Basic".

5.  Modify the rule and maintain only one scenario across all the effective‑dated records in a rule.
6.  After making this adjustment, perform the import again; it should now complete successfully without errors.
