3598785 - Freight Unit Building Rule not considering Gross Weight of Pallet and Packaging Materials

Symptom

While creating a Freight Unit through the Freight Unit Building Rule (FUBR), the system does not consider the Gross weight of the Pallet (Packaging Material PAL), or any other packaging material. Only the PRD item gross weight is used against the FUBR gross weight split quantity. For example, suppose a Sales Order has 10,000 KG of an item. The FUBR has a split quantity of 1,000 KG, since the means of transport can only carry 1,000 KG. The items are packaged in a pallet that weighs 100 KG and can contain 500 KG worth of items. Freight unit building occurs and you get 10 FUs, each with 1,000 KG of items, and two pallet that weighs 100 KG each, totalling 1,200 KG. This is 200 KG more than accepted by the means of transport. You need the freight unit builder to account for the weight of the pallet when building FUs.
