3598973 - Unable to transpose columns to rows in dataset in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Symptom

While clicked on the transpose column option getting the warning message 'A new transpose action cannot be done as a previous transpose has been performed. To learn more about the previous transformations, please check the transformation history.'

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.1.14

Reproducing the Issue

1. Login to the SAC tenant
2. Open the dataset
3. Click on transpose columns to rows.

Notice the warning message 'A new transpose action cannot be done as a previous transpose has been performed. To learn more about the previous transformations, please check the transformation history.'

Cause

This is by design behavior.
Check the transformation log, a previous transpose has already been done in the dataset.
You can only perform one transpose transformation per session on a dataset.

Resolution

Workaround would be to remove the previous transpose from the Dataset Transform Log before performing the new transpose.
