3598999 - Understanding Traffic Light Display in Monitor Control on Initial Screen in Quality Inspection Fiori Application

Symptom

  • Upon activating the monitor control on the initial screen, a traffic light is displayed in the list.
  • The traffic light display is causing confusion and requires clarification.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Quality Inspection Fiori Application(QA32).
  2. Activate the monitor control on the initial screen.

Cause

The traffic light display is a standard feature in the Quality Inspection Fiori Application. It is designed to provide visual cues for various parameters such as start date, end date, degree of processing for the inspection lot, outstanding characteristics, and open quantities.

Resolution

The traffic light display in the monitor control on the initial screen can be understood as follows:

  1. According to start date: If the start date has passed, the traffic light is red. If the start date corresponds to the current date, the traffic light is yellow. If the start date has not yet been reached, the traffic light is green.
  2. According to end date: If the end date has passed, the traffic light is red. If the end date corresponds to the current date, the traffic light is yellow. If the end date has not yet been reached, the traffic light is green.
  3. According to the degree of processing for the inspection lot: If the usage decision is due to be made (that means, the end date has been reached and no usage decision has been made), the traffic light is red. If the usage decision is not due to be made, the traffic light is yellow. If the usage decision has already been made, the traffic light is green.
  4. According to outstanding characteristics: If there are outstanding short-term characteristics, the traffic light is red. If there are only long-term characteristics, the traffic light is yellow. If there are no outstanding characteristics, the traffic light is green.
  5. According to open quantities: If quantities are open, the traffic light is red. If there are no quantities open, the traffic light is green.
