3599326 - Delay in HRIS Sync when performing changes via Quick Action - Employee Central

Symptom

When changes that trigger synchronization from Employee Central to Employee Profile fields are made via Quick Action, it has been observed that the sync does not happen on-the-fly.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Employee Profile;
  2. Click on Take Action > Select a Quick Action Template;
  3. Perform the required changes that trigger a synchronization between Employee Central and Employee Profile fields > Save;
  4. Observe that the Employee Profile (EP) field is not updated immediately.

Cause

Expected behavior.

Resolution

The HRIS Sync process is executed asynchronously following updates made via Employee Central Quick Actions. Consequently, there may be a short delay before changes are fully reflected in the system. For example, if you update your name or job title through Quick Actions, it may take a few minutes for those updates to appear in your People Profile.
