3599461 - Future-dated One-Time Payment record is not visible on the Legacy People Profile when the effective date of the selected Pay Component is also in the future – Employee Central

Symptom

  • A new Non-Recurring Pay Component is created with a future effective date.
  • A One-Time Payment record (OTP) is created with a start date on or after the effective date of the Pay Component.
  • The created One-Time Payment record is not visible on the Legacy People Profile (PP3), despite the user having the required permissions.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new Non-Recurring Pay Component with a future effective date (optional – skip if such a Pay Component already exists).
  2. Create a new One-Time Payment record with a start date on or after the effective date of the Pay Component.
  3. After clicking on Save, observe that the One-Time Payment record is not displayed on the profile.

Cause

The engineering team confirmed that this is a known limitation of the Legacy People Profile, and currently, there are no plans to change this behavior in PP3.

Resolution

Once the effective date of the Pay Component is reached, the created One-Time Payment record becomes visible on the Profile.

The engineering team is planning to improve this functionality for the Latest People Profile (PPX) in future releases.
