Error FINS_COSTCTR_BDFCT:012 happens in app Manage Product Costing Errors

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2502

The error originates from the UCB calculation for event-based overhead, which became active on April 17, 2025, following the deployment of version 2502.2 to customer systems.

The permanent fix was delivered as part of hotfix 09, in the weekend of May 3rd, 2025.

For customers who previously requested deactivating the feature toggle, SAP will assist in reactivating the feature toggle and inform in the original customer cases.

There still might be errors remaining in app Manage Product Costing Errors. To clear the errors, please below steps:

1. In app Manage Product Costing Errors, select items and click Simulate button. 
2. Go to the Schedule Product Costing Jobs app and use the job template Postprocess Event-Based Postings -> Overhead Posting to repost orders with errors. Please check any remaining errors in the list.
3. Then in app Postprocess Event-Based Postings - Product Costing, there will be additional items generated. You can select the Posting Date and select the items, then click "Post"
Then the items will be cleared.
