How to hide "Add to Learning History" option in the activities menu of SuccessFactors Learning?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access SuccessFactors BIZX
  2. Navigate to 'Learning'
  3. Click on 'Activities' menu -> select 'Add to Learning History'-> 'Item based event' and 'External Event' options appears

Resolution

To hide the 'Add to Learning History' option from the Activities menu for a user, remove both permissions ('Access Add to Learning History' and 'Access Add to Learning History for External History Records') from the user's role.

  • To hide only 'Item based event' option from the 'Add to Learning History' for a user, remove the permission 'Access Add to Learning History' in their assigned role.
  • To hide only 'External Event' option from the 'Add to Learning History' for a user, remove the permission 'Access Add to Learning History for External History Records' in their assigned role.
