3600330 - Contingent Worker Hide/Include Toggles Not Working in Latest Org Chart

• After the 2505 release, turning on the 'Hide Contingent Workers in Org Chart' setting in the Org Chart Configuration doesn't stop contingent workers from being searchable, even though the toggle is activated.
• When the 'Hide Contingent Workers in Org Chart' option is turned off, users can choose to include or exclude contingent workers using the 'Include Contingent Workers' display option. However, any changes made with this option are not being saved as expected.

'Hide Contingent Workers in Org Chart'

1. Log in to an SF 2505 instance.
2. Navigate to Org Chart Configuration.
3. Enable the 'Hide Contingent Workers in Org Chart' option.
4. Go to the Org Chart
5. Search for Contingent Workers
6. Observe that Contingent workers are still visible in the Org chart when searched.
7. And search for the Manager
8. Check the Manager's direct report line
9. Noticed that the contingent workers is not visible on the Manager's direct report line.

'Include Contingent Workers'

1. Log in to an SF 2505 instance.
2. Navigate to Org Chart Configuration.
3. Make sure the 'Hide Contingent Workers in Org Chart' option is disabled.
4. Go to the Org Chart
5. Try to use the 'Include Contingent Workers'
6. Noticed that any changes are not getting saved or not working as expected

Hide Contingent Workers in Org Chart - This is an expected behavior. When the "Hide Contingent Worker in Org Chart" setting is enabled, contingent workers can still be searched but won't appear in the manager's direct report line. 

Include Contingent Workers - The changed contingent worker value did not pass in the UI config request payload, resulting in the changes not being persisted on the UI config side. Additionally, a unit test (UT) was missing to ensure the changed config is correctly passed in the API payload. 

Hide Contingent Workers in Org Chart

We have received an update that this is an expected behavior. When the "Hide contingent worker in org chart" setting is enabled, contingent workers are not blocked from being searched. However, they will not appear in the manager’s direct report line (i.e., they won’t show up in the organizational hierarchy under the manager). 

Include Contingent Workers

Our engineering team has created a patch for B2505, which will be released on:

• Preview: May 04, 2025
• Production: May 16, 2025

Please let us know if the issue persists after the patch has been applied.

Additionally, they have made a code fix, which will be released on B2511:

• Preview: October 13, 2025
• Production: November 14, 2025.
