3600950 - Intermittent Corruption of standard Inbound file sent to Incentive Management via ODI - encoding / Unicode UTF-8

Symptom

  • The point of corruption in the process was unknown;
  • The issue was noticed due to some binary file being stuck or failing;
  • Examination of the files passed ODI treatment show errors and issues;
  • Despite confirmation that the file is good before being transferred to the SAP SFTP inbound folder, the downloaded ODI server copy of the file was found to be corrupt;
  • There's a script that handles the file before sending to ODI.
