3601473 - Error: "Enter a valid delivering plant. Message no. V1755" is raised during Sales Order Creation in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • An error message is received when creating a sales order, stating that a plant is invalid.
  • The error message is "Enter a valid delivering plant. Message no. V1755".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to create a sales order.
  2. The error message "Enter a valid delivering plant" appears in the incompletion log.

Cause

  • The error message is triggered because the system checks the customer number of the delivering plant (T001W-KUNNR) using the customer number of the sold-to party.
  • If these two numbers are identical, the system issues error message V1 755 "Enter a * delivering plant".
  • This check is to ensure that customers cannot make deliveries to themselves.

Resolution

  1. This error message is raised in the sales order because the system checks the customer number of the delivering plant (T001W-KUNNR) using the customer number of the sold-to party.
  2. If these two numbers are identical, the system issues error message V1 755 "Enter a * delivering plant".
  3. This check is to ensure that customers cannot make deliveries to themselves.
  4. Check the field 'Customer No Plant' for the respective Plant at the following activity: Define Shipping Data for Plants (SSCUI 101926).
  5. Check with the functional consultant and make the necessary changes as per the clients requirements.
