3601521 - Date dimension filter not working in SAP Datasphere Analytic Model

• Dashboards that previously worked have stopped functioning.
• Filtering on ranges from a date dimension in the analytic model is not possible.
• The date dimension is now seen as a text, while previously it was seen as a date.

• SAP Datasphere

1. In SAP Datasphere, navigate to the Analytic Model.
2. Apply a range filter on the date dimension.
3. Notice that the date dimension is treated as text and range filtering is not available.

A change in the analytic model's semantic type mapping caused the date dimension to be treated as text instead of a date type.

1. The behavior observed is expected and working as designed. In previous releases, semantic types were incorrectly mapped and caused complications; this has been corrected in the last release.
2. Change the date dimension mapping from string(10) to the appropriate date semantic type.
3. Verify that date dimension range filtering works as expected.
