3601740 - Triggering Advanced Shipping Notification upon Release of Freight Lists

The Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN) is not triggered when the Freight Lists are released. The expectation is for the ASN to be triggered once the Freight Lists are released, however, it is only triggered when the outbound delivery document is released.

Outbound Logistics

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Outbound Deliveries view.
3. Select the relevant outbound delivery document and choose the Release button.
4. Notice that the ASN is triggered to the customer only once the outbound delivery document is released, not when the Freight Lists are released.

The Advanced Shipping Notification is designed to be triggered only when the outbound delivery document is released. The processing of Freight List does not have any role in sending ASN to customers.

1. Understand that the current system behavior is that the Advanced Shipping Notification is triggered only when the outbound delivery document is released.
2. If there is a business requirement to modify this behavior, post the requirement via the Customer Influence Forum.
