3602101 - Unable to Release Fixed-Price Service Orders (SVO2) for Billing in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • It is not possible to release Fixed-Price Service Orders (SVO2) for billing.
  • The “Release for Billing” button is greyed out and cannot be selected.

Environment

S/4HANA Cloud Public edition

Cause

The service order cannot be released for billing because certain prerequisite steps have not been completed in the service order lifecycle.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, try one of the following options:

  1. Create a Service Confirmation
    For service bundle items (SVBL – Fixed Price), a service confirmation may be required to complete the process flow.
    Please create and process the service confirmation to proceed.

  2. Cancel the Purchase Requisition
    If an open purchase requisition is linked to a sub-item, it may prevent the overall status from updating to “Complete.”
    Review and, if necessary, cancel any active purchase requisitions associated with the order.

After completing the relevant step(s), the “Release for Billing” button should become active.
