3602189 - Unable to Reset System DB Password in SAP HANA Replication site

Symptom

  • You attempt to reset the password of System user of the SystemDB in emergency mode/
  • When you call "hdbnameserver -resetUserSystem " no prompt appears to enter a new password
  • You notice an output like 
    • starting in system replication mode
      mapped host <primary> to <host where you are performing the rename>
      nameserver will replicate from <primary host:port>
