3602212 - Custom Field Names Not Displaying in Mass Data Maintenance

Custom field names are not displaying in Mass Data Maintenance, only the field ID is shown.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Mass Data Maintenance view.
2. In Export Customers, click Link.
3. In the Account ID field, select a customer.
4. Click Go.
5. Observe that only the field ID is displayed, not the custom field names.

This behavior may occur because the fields were originally created in a different language, such as German (or Dutch). When accessing Mass Data Maintenance with a different language logged in, the field names may not display correctly. As a result, the field names are only shown correctly when logged in with the language setting that matches the original creation language, such as German. 

To ensure the field names are displayed correctly regardless of the language setting, update the field labels to the desired language by following these steps:

1. Open the Customer screen where the custom field is displayed.
2. Enter Adaptation Mode.
3. Click the + icon and select Extension Fields.
4. Select the desired field and click Edit.
5. In the Field Label, click the arrow icon.
6. Add or update the label in the desired language.
7. After completing these steps, the field names will appear correctly in the Mass Data Maintenance.
