3602288 - Error "There is no valid rule step for SKDV" when running Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • An error message "There is no valid rule step for SKDV" is encountered when running the Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation Template in the Schedule General Ledger Jobs tile.
  • Rule step for valuation rule SKDV has been configuration in configuration activity 105450.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Schedule General Ledger Jobs tile.
  2. Attempt to run the Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation Template.

Cause

One root cause of the error is that there is no GL account assigned to the semantic tag FX for the related FS Version. This omission prevents any accounts from being considered when performing the Foreign Currency Valuation (FCV).

Resolution

Assign the relevant G/L account to the semantic tag "FX" to relevant FSV in SSCUI 102659 - Assign Semantic Tags to Financial Statement Versions or App Manage Global Hierarchies  ID F2918.
