3602401 - DB6 - FIRST_ACTIVE_LOG empty in db2 get db cfg for <SID> show detail

Symptom

Scheduling a backup fails as the backup is unable to retrieve the first active log data.

The output of db2 get db cfg for <SID> show detail displays the parameter

First active log file =       ( is empty)                                 

 

Example:

 Log file size (4KB)           (LOGFILSIZ)     = 128000    128000                    
 Number of primary log files   (LOGPRIMARY)    = 100          100                       
 Number of secondary log files (LOGSECOND)     = 20            20                        
 Changed path to log files      (NEWLOGPATH)   =                                                      
 Path to log files                             = /db2/<SID>/log_dir/NODE0000/LOGSTREAM0000/ /db2/<SID>/log_dir/NODE0000/LOGSTREAM0000/
 Overflow log path             (OVERFLOWLOGPATH)  =                                                      
 Mirror log path                MIRRORLOGPATH)    =
