3602575 - SCIM API: user skipped in IAS/IPS due emails & familyName missing

Symptom

Your SuccessFactors - IAS/IPS synchronization job is skipping some users

When you check or when investigated by the IAS/IPS team (BC-IAM-IPS) it is discovered that the users are skipped with the following reason:

  • skip reason=Entity condition [($.emails EMPTY false) && ($.name.familyName EMPTY false)] is not fulfilled

This can be observed for a specific user or a userType in general (e.g. ONBOARDEE or EMPLOYEE)

The users may also have the User/email & User/lastName maintained as per the OData User to SCIM API Mapping

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
